A YOUNG mother and her baby son, who went missing following a violent assault in North Yorkshire in which her father was seriously injured, have turned up safe and well.

Natalie Foster, 18, and her seven-month-old son, Robert, had not been seen following a violent incident at Seamer Caravan Site, near Stokesley, on Friday evening, in which her 43-year-old father was injured.

Mrs Foster and her son attended Northallerton police station on Sunday evening following a public plea to trace them.

Police are still trying to trace Mrs Foster’s 22-year-old husband, Robert Henry Foster.
