SCARBOROUGH printing group Pindar’s cartography business has been sold by administrators.
KPMG, administrators of GA Pindar & Son Ltd and subsidiaries Pindar plc and Pindar Print Ltd, have agreed a deal to sell the Aylesbury-based business to Amersham-based printing company Halstan Holdings.
All 16 of the business’ employees have transferred to the purchaser as part of the sale.
The sale follows that of Pindar’s web offset printing and bindery division to Elvington-based York Mailing on Tuesday, safeguarding 255 jobs in Scarborough immediately after the company appointed administrators.
Mark Firmin, joint administrator and KPMG associate partner, said: “We are very pleased to have sold a second Pindar business, safeguarding further employment.”
The Administrators continue to market the remaining assets of the business, which include Agility, a software provider employing 42 people in York and a confidential printing business in Scarborough, which employs 47 people.
