VOLUNTEERS are needed to help the North York Moors National Park Authority to help answer questions from the public about the attractions, wildlife and heritage of the North York Moors and so help people get the most out of their visits.

Volunteers will be based at Sutton Bank National Park Centre, helping to welcome visitors, setting up events, keeping the centres clean and tidy and caring for the surrounding grounds.

Staff also want helpers to deliver publications to shops and attractions around the National Park, attend agricultural shows and provide an information service at Spout House, a 16th century house in Bilsdale, managed by the authority.

The authority asks for a minimum commitment of 12 days between March and November. No previous experience is necessary.
