A PARK&RIDE scheme in a North Yorkshire town will go ahead following a £3.7 million Government grant.
The project will be built next to the A171, near Cross Butts Farm in Whitby, and will have space for up to 450 cars.
North Yorkshire County Council said the scheme will ensure the town can “continue to thrive”.
A further £1.7 million grant will be used to ease congestion in Harrogate as part of a national £266 million Department for Transport investment in sustainable transport projects.
