YORK City have already sold 820 of their 1,204 allocation of tickets for Saturday’s crunch League Two clash with Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Minstermen require a point to guarantee Football League safety at Victoria Road, where the hosts need to win to ensure their survival and early ticket sales suggest Nigel Worthington’s team will be buoyed by a sizeable following.
An initial batch of 568 tickets was sold within hours at Bootham Crescent yesterday but other bookings were taken over the phone in anticipation of the arrival of the rest of the tickets at 1pm this afternoon.
Tickets can be bought over the phone by calling 01904 624447 with a £1 charge for credit card transactions. They can then be collected either from Bootham Crescent before 4pm on Thursday or at Dagenham’s ticket office on the day of the match.
The advance prices for tickets are £19 for adults and £13 for under-18s, over-65s, students and those registered disabled.
Anybody wishing to go to the game is advised to buy their ticket as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
