YORK City's top scorer Wes Fletcher has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Scans have confirmed that Fletcher suffered medial ligament and cartilage damage to his knee following the challenge that saw Portsmouth captain Ben Chorley sent off during the Minstermen's 1-0 win at Fratton Park.
Fletcher will now undergo an operation and it is hoped he will return in time for pre-season training.
