HARROGATE Town and Scarborough both face crunch matches this weekend in Conference North.

Town travel to Vauxhall Motors looking to maintain their promotion push, while a win is a must for the Seadogs at league stragglers Lancaster City.

For Town, boss Neil Aspin has the same squad to choose from which drew 1-1 last week against Gainsborough at Wetherby Road on a quagmire of a pitch.

Although he was disappointed at losing two points against the league strugglers, Aspin said he was satisfied with the result given the state of the playing surface.

Now, with Town in sixth place, just two points off second-placed Kettering Town, Aspin says three points are a must tomorrow.

"With the state of our pitch, we have got to try to take three points on our travels," he said.

"Last week's game was a farce and was decided by the weather. Vauxhall won't be easy, they've had some good results this season. We are still there (in the league) and, although we need to start winning at home, hopefully we can play some football this weekend."

The Seadogs, meanwhile, will have to face Lancaster without the influential Jamie Vermiglio, while ex-York City defender Mark Hotte is also struggling with an injury and is a doubt.

With Scarborough second from bottom and seven points away from safety, victory against a team with just two wins in 25 is vital if they are to harbour any realistic dreams of survival.
