YORK City will travel to South Shields for a pre-season contest on Tuesday, July 23.
The game will kick off at 7.30pm with admission £6 for adults, £4 for students/over-65s and £2 for under-16s.
Shields finished second in the Evo-Stik Northern League premier division last season but were denied promotion after being beaten by Warrington Town in the play-offs.
The Minstermen now have five friendlies confirmed ahead of the start of the National League North campaign on Saturday August 3.
They are: Wed, July 17 – Hartlepool United (H), 7pm; Sat, July 20 – Scarborough Athletic (H), 1pm; Tues, July 23 – South Shields (A); Sat, July 27 – Notts County (H), 12.30pm; Tues, July 30 – Pickering Town (A), 7.30pm.
