YORK City Knights have announced the loan signing of Lewis Peachey from Castleford Tigers.
The 20-year-old joins on an initial two-week loan, which can be extended.
Along with Yusuf Aydin, who signed on loan earlier in the day, the prop will bring further depth to the Knights’ pack.
Forward Peachey made his Super League debut for Castleford in 2019 against Catalans Dragons and, to date, has made six appearances in the top flight for the West Yorkshire club.
Knights Head coach James Ford said: “Lewis is an uncompromising player who carries intensity in his contact. I remember him from my time with England Academy and I remember a good kid who had some promise.
“I’m pleased to be in a position to have a closer look at him.”
Peachey said: “York are a really good club with great facilities and I’m looking forward to getting started.
“I’m hoping to get some more experience. I’ve played limited minutes at first-team level for Castleford and I’m keen to get some more under my belt.”
