WORK is well underway at York City as the Minstermen prepare for a new season amid their historic ground move.
The Press understands that the club and board of directors have been putting together plans that will be finalised and made public in the coming weeks.
These include season ticket prices, an event for the York public to bid farewell to Bootham Crescent, an open day at the LNER Community Stadium and legacy items to be transferred from the city centre ground to Monks Cross.
While some memorabilia is to be kept by the club, many other items from Bootham Crescent have been sold on. There is still a limited number of plastic tip-up seats from the Family Stand which can be bought through the online store on a first come, first served basis. The seats are sold as a connected pair.
Meanwhile, the club shop at Bootham Crescent has closed its doors for the final time. A new shop at the Community Stadium will be opening.
As such, arrangements to collect seats and memorabilia must now be made in advance by emailing club administrator Steve Dorey at steve.dorey@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk.
