DUNNINGTON were unable to deny top-tier newcomers Doncaster a second straight victory in the Yorkshire Premier League Squash.
Doncaster are one of only two sides, alongside Queens of Halifax, still with a 100 per cent record after two rounds of action in the YPL, though their triumph was a lot tighter than that of their top-spot rivals.
Visitors Dunnington scored straight-games lower-order victories through Ed Shannon and Matthew Stephenson, but the match turned Donny’s way as the evening progressed.
Nick Ratnarajah and Joel Arscott levelled things up at 2-2 with rapid wins, leaving Miles Jenkins and former England international Chris Simpson to scrap it out for the five winning bonus points.
Jenkins, the 26-year-old from Solihull, took it in four to seal a 14-8 win for the South Yorkshire side.
Fellow unbeaten outfit Queens of Halifax meanwhile thrashed winless Woodfield 20-5 away from home.
Pontefract I claimed a 17-6 win over Hallamshire while Pontefract II, who are also yet to win this year, lost by the same scoreline against Abbeydale.
Hull & East Riding were convincing 16-6 winners at home to Chapel Allerton.
