YORK City assistant manager Micky Cummins will be absent from all fixtures and training indefinitely while the club awaits a ruling on historical betting rule breach charges.
Cummins was charged by the Football Association in August in relation to 148 bets placed on football matches between January 2015 and March 2019. He has yet to hear a verdict on the case.
In his stead, youth team manager Tim Ryan will support Steve Watson in the dugout this Saturday against Blyth Spartans.
The club said: “After discussions with the management team, we feel this is the best course of action while we await a verdict from the FA on a charge relating to historical breaches of FA betting rules.
“The individuals affected will be supported with further education in line with the clear club policies in place and we will continue to liaise with the FA on the matter.”
City centre-back Josh King, who was also charged with betting breaches, will see his FA ban expire on November 12.
