ALNWICK are the visitors to Clifton Park this weekend (3pm) as York RUFC look to build on the resounding 52-20 victory over Sandal in their last outing, writes Ian Hessay.
Alnwick sit fifth in the league table while York are in sixth and level on points.
Both teams have very similar playing records so far this season, each with four victories from seven outings.
York's coaching staff are expecting a close game with the knowledge that another home win could see them move further up the table and reinforce a strong start to their debut North Premier season.
Like York, Alnwick regularly field three senior teams and have a thriving junior section.
York have made two enforced changes this week, with Liam Hessay and Jonty Atkinson both unavailable.
Luke Stockton and Gus Barrack both come into the squad.
Barrack is a product of the club’s junior system and was a member of the very successful Colts team that reached the national final. He will be making his first-team debut.
York RUFC squad: Eddie Westaby, Ross White (C), Will Scholey, Chris Fox, Archie Fothergill, Joe Maude, Joe Simpson, Willem Enslin, Toby Atkin, Sam Elliot, Tom Woffendin, Will Fordy, Angus Barrack, Sam Taylor, George Davies, Will Norris, Luke Stockton, Shane Goulding.
