YORK RI 'A' remain top of Red Goat York & District Table Tennis League division one after a 6-4 win over title rivals Shiyi Ling 'A'.
Martin Lowe took the plaudits with a fine treble, with Joe Wright and Arthur Sorley replying with braces for Shiyi Ling.
Yoni Caspi and James Atkins were on top form as Topspin 'A' defeated Bootham 8-2.
Three wins from Cristian Carcamo were the highlight as Topspin 'B' beat York RI 'B' 7-3.
Mikey Arnold was unbeaten as Shiyi Ling 'B' cruised to an 8-2 victory over Clarence 'B', with veteran Mick Kenyon contributing two valuable points for Clarence.
York RI 'C' remain top of the second division after they whitewashed Clarence 'C' 10-0 while Alberto Nidasio starred as Wigginton 'A' saw off Ryedale 'A' 8-2.
Veteran John Hughes turned back the clock with an excellent brace as Shiyi Ling 'D' pushed title-favourites University 'A' all the way before eventually going down to a 6-4 defeat.
In the key match at the foot of the table, Strensall emerged triumphant over York RI 'D' with John Temple, Pete Mills and Dave Hough all contributing two wins in a solid 7-3 victory.
Pat Swindell starred as Ryedale 'B' thrashed the third division leaders Wigginton 'B' 8-2 to blow the title race wide open.
A maximum-haul treble from Mick Surtees made the difference as Shepherd 'B' edged a close encounter with BT 6-4.
Mark Matthams secured his first treble of the season for Clarence 'E', helping them beat Wigginton 'D' 7-3 while Tom Lines and Bob Fitzsimmons were too good as Clarence 'D' defeated Wigginton 'C' by the same score.
In division four, an unbeaten effort by Graham Hood could not prevent an understrength Clarence 'G' from sliding to a 7-3 defeat against Topspin 'C'.
Nigel Baker led the way as Shepherds 'B' beat Clarence 'F' 7-3. Jay Taylor and Dave Wooldridge excelled as Topspin 'B' thrashed Wigginton 'E' 9-1.
