CITY of York Athletic Club's Katy Wood dominated the senior women's race in the West Yorkshire Cross Country League on Sunday in Wakefield.
The club as a whole did well on a course featuring a testing hill and some fast sections on each lap.
Wood led her event from the start to pull away from the field to win by nearly a minute as she covered the 5.5-kilometre course in 19 minutes 58 seconds.
The club’s senior men’s team came third and was led home by Alex Dickinson in 10th, just ahead of Tommy Shaw, who was the second under-20 home and 13th overall.
City's U15 teams again did well by winning both their team events. Lottie Langan comfortably won the girls' event with Amy Kennedy coming fourth.
The boys packed well with Isaac Stabler coming second, William Keens third and Isaac Bastow sixth.
Led home by Lucy Gilberston in fifth pace and Isabel Madden in ninth, the club’s U13 girls' team was second.
Ollie Wright again dominated the U11 boys' race to win by nearly half a minute.
