BOOTHAM 'A' continued their winning start to the York Snooker League with a 3-1 win away at Bootham 'B' to remain two points clear at the top.
Lionel Barnes, Chris Thompson and captain Paul Powell all contributed to the 'A' cause.
Fulford 'B' lie in second thanks to an impressive 3-1 win away at Acomb 'A'.
Russ Shaw secured the Fulford triumph after earlier wins from James Bonwick and Karl Mullen.
Heworth 'B' kept up the pressure on the top two sides with a 3-1 victory over Malton.
Jason Greaves and Jim Rollinson won on the final two matches on the black ball to earn Heworth the points.
In the other round's other games, Castle drew 2-2 against Fulford 'A' and the two bottom sides, Heworth 'A' and Acomb 'B', also battled it out for a 2-2 draw, which does neither team any favours.
Neil Wood produced a 51 break for Heworth but was still beaten in that frame by Stephen Burr.
