NORTHWICH Victoria have turned down York City's request to bring their third round Setanta Shield meeting at KitKat Crescent forward by seven days to Tuesday night, writes Dave Flett.
The game will now take place on Tuesday, February 5, as originally planned, unless City are involved in an FA Trophy replay which would then take precedence.
Colin Walker's men, who host Aldershot today, are waiting to hear who they are due to play in the Trophy third round on February 2, with the twice- postponed Alfreton v Farsley tie set to go ahead on Tuesday.
The winners will play host to City but, should the game get called off again, it would then be played a week today and City would travel to Stevenage in the Blue Square Premier instead.
City's reserves will now meet Leeds United on Tuesday in a game that has been switched to KitKat Crescent because of concerns over the Elland Road pitch. Kick off is 2pm and admission is £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.
- Onome Sodje and Manny Panther will be Harrogate Minstermen's guests for a question and answer session at the Union in Calcutt, Knaresborough, on Monday, at 8pm.
