CITY of York Athletic Club had 16 representatives competing for Yorkshire and Humberside at Inter Counties Cross Country Championships in Loughborough.
The club had runners in every race during the Championships, including Katy Wood, who placed 16th in the senior women’s race to help Yorkshire to the silver medal.
Angus McMillan came 17th in the senior men’s race as Yorkshire narrowly missed out on a medal, eventually finishing in fourth place.
In the junior races, Daniel Campbell was 18th in the Under-13s boy’s race while Lottie Langan was 21st in the U15s girls' race.
Meanwhile, in Sheffield, York's Dave Lancaster took a silver medal in the Vet 65 category of the Yorkshire Veterans Cross Country Championships.
Six York teams were entered into the PECO Relays at Leeds.
The club came away with three wins, two second-places and a third in their respective age categories.
The wins were claimed by both U11s teams and the U13 girls' team.
Four York athletes competed in the England Athletics Combined Events Championship at Sheffield.
Frances Hogg finished a fantastic fourth in the U17s girls' pentathlon, with a consistent all-round performance while Grace Gannon placed 21th.
In the U17s men's heptathlon, Isaac Henson finished 15th, setting a new club record in the Pole Vault at 3.33m, beating the previous set in 1998.
In the U15s girls' pentathlon, Olivia Tweddle placed 17th, in her first ever showing in the event.
