ASHLEY HUGILL has been knocked out of the Betfred World Snooker Championship after suffering a 10-5 defeat to tournament favourite Neil Robertson.
The York star made the dream start on his Crucible debut, responding from Robertson's first-frame century to run up a 3-1 lead.
Former world champion Robertson showed his class to win all of the next eight frames and move 9-3 in front, scoring two more tons in the process.
Hugill rallied to win frames 13 and 14 but Robertson closed out the match with a fourth century.
