YORKSHIRE CCC have signed up West Indies Test bowler Shannon Gabriel for the next three LV= Insurance County Championship division one matches.
Gabriel is set to make his Yorkshire debut against Surrey at Scarborough's North Marine Road on Monday.
The quick will then be available for matches against Somerset (July 19-22), at Taunton, and Hampshire (July 25-28), also at Scarborough, later this month.
The 34-year-old brings international experience to the White Rose attack, having taken 161 Test wickets from 56 matches, with a best of eight for 62.
Trinidad-born Gabriel has also made 25 one-day international and two T20 international appearances for his nation.
Yorkshire interim managing director of cricket Darren Gough expressed his delight at securing Gabriel's signature.
He said: “We are delighted to have signed Shannon for the next three County Championship matches and are very much looking forward to seeing what he can achieve in a Yorkshire shirt.
“With two of the next three games coming at Scarborough, which has been one of the quickest surfaces in the country for a number of years, his pace will be a real asset to us.
“I think it’s fair to say supporters at North Marine Road will be entertained watching him and I’m sure he will play his part in bringing us some success over the next month.”
