YORK City Past Players have raised £3,000 for charity at its annual golf day at Pike Hills.
The event attracted over 160 golfers including 30 former York players as well as fans and keen golfers from around the country.
The competition was won by 'Wednesday 3 Leeds 1', whose side included former City star and Scotland international Graeme Murty.
'The PFA', who had ex-Minstermen midfielder Pat Lally in their ranks, placed second while 'Canham's Crew' ranked third, a team skippered by old City favourite Tony Canham and featuring former defender Paul Johnson.
£1,000 each was raised for the charities St Leonard’s Hospice, NHS Bereavement Care, Nottinghamshire and Anchor Legacy as chosen by ex-players David McAughtrie, Johnson and John MacPhail respectively.
