YORK City Knights have been able to name a 21-man squad for Friday's clash with Sheffield Eagles (7.30pm), but captain Chris Clarkson misses out through injury.

Clarkson picked up a knock during York's 100-4 humiliation at Leigh Centurions on Sunday, in which the Knights played the final quarter of an hour with 12 players.

The skipper is expected to return to action at Kingston Park when James Ford's side visit Newcastle Thunder next Saturday night (September 3, 7.30pm).

While Clarkson drops out, Ford has the full compliment of 21 players this week, having been down to just 17 for the record-breaking Leigh defeat.

Brendan O'Hagan, Jordan Thompson, Danny Kirmond and Brad Ward all return from injury to make the squad while Ata Hingano is available again, having not been allowed to play against parent club Leigh.

Leeds Rhinos loanee Levi Edwards is hoped to return at Newcastle while Pauli Pauli serves his one-match suspension this week.

York City Knights squad: Marsh, Brown, Glover, Ogden, O'Hagan, Ellis, Jubb, Teanby, Thompson, Dixon, Stock, Kirmond, Harrison, Harrison, Towse, Michael, Ward, Antrobus, Porter, Inman, Hingano.
