CAPTAIN Chris Clarkson has been recalled to the York City Knights squad to visit Newcastle Thunder on Saturday night (7pm).
A knock ruled Clarkson out of Friday's 20-12 home win over Sheffield Eagles, but the skipper is back in York's 21- player squad for this weekend.
The inclusion of the back-rower comes at the expense of centre Jacob Ogden, who has sustained a minor injury, and is the only change head coach James Ford has made to his preliminary squad.
"It's very likely that Chris will be back," reported Ford. "That's great news and it tidies us up in that slot."
The Knights remain without Leeds Rhinos loanee Levi Edwards, who has a knee problem, while prop Pauli Pauli, fellow middle Masi Matongo and winger Will Oakes are all out for the season.
York City Knights squad: Marsh, Brown, Glover, O'Hagan, Ellis, Jubb, Teanby, Clarkson, Thompson, Dixon, Stock, Kirmond, Harris, Harrison, Towse, Michael, Ward, Antrobus, Porter, Inman, Hingano.
