YORK City are offering season-ticket holders access to the LNER Bar for £5 on matchdays.

The offer allows fans to access the centrally located non-padded seats, which were previously reserved for the friends and families of the players, in the LNER Community Stadium's East Stand.

The £5 price point also means supporters can gain early access to the ground, from 12.30pm, and entry to the LNER Lounge, which is hosted by former York striker and BBC Radio York summariser Iain Dunn.

Season-ticket holders can receive a discount of 10 per cent for the rest of the season by purchasing tickets for the remaining 20 games of this campaign.

The offer is an upgrade to season-ticket holders, with season tickets required to be shown upon entry to the Stadium.

The £5 price-point is a different offering from the existing and remaining £9.50, which has caused frustration among some supporters following an uplift from last season's introductory £5 price.

The £9.50 offering has the added benefits of padded seating, a team sheet and a matchday programme.

"I can’t fix everything, but I listen to feedback," City commercial manager Liam Armstrong wrote on Twitter.

"Nothing is straight forward as fans are now aware.

"It took some tweaking to the seating arrangements, but (we) finally found a way to make it work in a financially sensible way."

After tomorrow's trip to Yeovil Town, York return to the Community Stadium on Saturday, September 10 against Dagenham & Redbridge (3pm).
