THE York City Supporters' Trust will host its AGM and an open forum on Thursday, September 29 (7pm-9pm) at the LNER Community Stadium.

The meeting will see the Trust board elections take place, with those interested in standing asked to complete a nomination form by Monday, September 12.

Only Trust members will be allowed to enter the meeting, which has a 250-person capacity on a first come, first served basis.

All life members are eligible to attend and vote, as are members who have joined or renewed membership before 5pm on Monday, September 26. Memberships can be purchased for just £1.

After the AGM, there will be an open forum "to give members the opportunity to ask any questions" of the Trust board.

The Trust forum is the first since July's takeover of City from majority shareholder Jason McGill to Glen Henderson (51 per cent stake) and the Trust (49 per cent stake).

Fans are reminded by the Trust that "the Trust board’s primary role is to oversee the business of the Trust and represent the supporters."

"We also provide scrutiny, guidance and support to the football club board.

"The Trust board do not run the football club on a day-to-day basis.

"The shareholders, including the Trust, elect the club’s board of directors to run the football club on our behalf."

Audio and video recordings of the meeting are prohibited.
