YORK rounded off their Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North premier division season by thrashing Scarborough by eight wickets.
York headed into the final round of the season knowing that leaders Driffield Town held an unassailable 12-point at the top of the table.
However that did not detract from a dominant performance from the Clifton Park club.
Opener Duncan Brown (84) provided the only genuine resistance for Scarborough as they were all out for 154 in 41.1 overs.
Eight of Boro's batting order made single figures, including two ducks and three ones, against the stand-out bowling of Jonathan Moxon (4-45) and Darcy O'Connor (4-51).
A half-century from Duncan Snell (73) as well as handy contributions from Finlay Bean (37) and Ryan McKendry (34 not out) saw York reach the winning line at 155-2 in just 20.5 overs.
York were however unable to cut the dozen-point gap to Driffield, who won by three wickets at Harrogate.
Henry Thompson (89) and Cooper Smith (61) were Harrogate's top-scoring pair in a score of 239 all out with a ball to spare.
Town fell to 88-5 before a couple of vital half-tons from numbers five and seven, George Drury (65no) and Mayank Mishra (74) led the reply to 240-7 in 47.1 overs.
Woodhouse Grange pipped Sheriff Hutton Bridge to third after a tight three wickets win over their top three rivals.
Bridge were all out for 153 in 44.5 overs as they struggled against Christopher Suddaby's economic bowling (4-21).
A hard-fought unbeaten knock of 62 from 110 balls from Fritz De Beer, having fallen to 53-4 saw Grange triumph after 47.4 overs, having reached 156-7.
Castleford finished fifth in spite of a defeat by 21 runs at home to sixth-placed Clifton Alliance.
Only three Alliance players managed double figures and they had Liam Green (43) and Thomas Brown (48) to thank for their total of 154 all out after 43 overs. Eddie Morrison finished with an exceptional 6-44.
Liam Hyde (42) gave Cas some mid-innings impetus before he was victim to Elliott Precious (4-47) as the hosts fell to 133 all out in 43.3 overs.
While Scarborough and Harrogate placed seventh and eighth respectively, Sessay closed in ninth, although saw their final day clash with 10th-placed Beverley Town abandoned. Beverley finished above relegated bottom club Acomb.
