EX-YORK City midfielder Lee Bullock has resigned as joint manager of Whitby Town.
Whitby suffered a 6-0 home defeat to Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night, a result which leaves them three points adrift at the bottom of the Pitching In Northern Premier League premier division.
"Both parties agreed that a fresh voice and perspective was needed," read a Town statement.
The move ends Bullock's near-decade-long association with Whitby's playing side, having joined as a player in 2013 before becoming assistant manager two years later.
He was named as joint-manager with Nathan Haslam, who is now the club's sole manager, in 2020.
Bullock remains in post as Whitby's commercial manager.
