PAULI PAULI has signed a new two-year deal with York City Knights which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2024 season.

Pauli joined York from Betfred Super League side Salford Red Devils during the off-season and has quickly become a fans favourite.

The prop has showcased his destructive power throughout his 19 appearances this season as the Knights secured a return to the Betfred Championship play-offs.

“Pauli is another key re-signing for the club," said head coach Ford.

"I feel he has had a good season with some outstanding moments within that," added the boss on 28-year-old, who is currently out with a long-term ACL injury.

“I do feel that we have built a strong relationship with Pauli and I feel that we will be able to use that to challenge him to be even better in 2023.

“Pauli is a key player for us in terms of getting us to the levels that we are aspiring to be at, both on and off the field, so we are all delighted to have secured his services for the next couple of years.”

The former Parramatta Eels and Newcastle Knights front-rower said: “I’m really happy and glad to be staying to have a real crack at next season.

"I know I can do better. Hopefully come next year, I can do a lot more than I did this year."

York have thanked the club's Squad Builder fund for their help in the deal.
