YORK City Knights have re-signed ever-present centre James Glover on a two-year deal which runs until the end of the 2024 season.
Glover has enjoyed a brilliant debut season at York, having started in all 29 of the club's matches this year.
The 28-year-old has scored 13 tries and been a key player in the Knights' return to the Betfred Championship play-offs.
“I’m delighted to retain James and to have him here for the next two years is brilliant," said head coach James Ford.
“I think he’s been really key for us. He’s had a fantastic season and he’s been a strong personality for us off the field as well.
“He’s really grown into that leadership role that he’s been given.
"I’m looking forward to working with him for the next two years and trying to improve different areas of the game.
“Hopefully he can be even better for 2023 and beyond.”
Glover becomes York's 12th confirmed squad member for next year after Matty Marsh, Jacob Ogden, Will Jubb, Chris Clarkson, Pauli Pauli, Jordan Thompson, Myles Harrison, AJ Towse, Brad Ward, Olly Butterworth and Ata Hingano.
