SELBY Town have parted company with manager Christian Fox following a 7-1 home defeat to Campion.
Fox had been in charge at Selby since 2017 but Town's biggest defeat of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League division one season has seen the former York City midfielder and assistant Jonny Bruce depart by mutual consent.
Braces from Aidan Day and Patrick Sykes combined with strikes from Marcus Day and Daniel Illingworth as well as a Daniel Davison own goal saw Campion romp home in Fox's final match in charge.
Ryan Gothard scored the only Selby goal at the Fairfax Plant Hire Stadium.
A Selby statement read: "At this time we as a club, would like to go record and offer our sincerest thanks to both Christian and Jonny for their hard work and contributions over the past five seasons and we wish them every success in their future endeavours."
Selby have appointed veteran central midfielder Ryan Cooper as the club's interim manager for the "foreseeable future".
Town have said the appointment "had to be implemented swiftly as we begin our endeavours to acquire a suitable successor to the recently departing management team."
The club have said they will "take the required time necessary, to find the suitable candidate for the managerial position."
Ninth-placed Selby host the NCEL division one's third-from-bottom club Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday (3pm) in the second qualifying round of the Isuzu FA Vase.
Meanwhile, Tadcaster Albion's winless start to the season stretched to 11 matches after a 5-3 loss at Hebburn Town.
Jack Carr scored a hat-trick for Tadcaster but Oliver Martin and Amar Purewal doubles, along with a Sean Reid finish, saw Hebburn triumph.
Albion entertain point-less bottom club Grimsby Borough on Saturday (3pm) in the Pitching In Northern Premier League.
Elsewhere, the Rudy Funk era at Pickering Town started with a 2-1 home defeat to Penrith in the Ebac Northern League division one.
Jonny Murray and Luke Hunter's first-half goals were enough for the visitors, with Pickering only able to strike through a late Harry Jessop penalty.
Funk will be seeking a first win as the new Pikes manager in Saturday's FA Vase second qualifying round tie at Brandon United (3pm), who play a tier lower than Pickering in the Northern League division two.
