PICKERING-BORN youngster Billy Fewster has sealed a move to Vanarama National League side Scunthorpe United, joining on a loan-deal from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
Fewster, who played for Pickering Town from ages eight until 11, will potentially face York City for Scunthorpe on March 11, Saturday.
The young midfielder has joined a Scunthorpe side who have recently entered new ownership after a dramatic decline down the leagues, before dropping into the National League at the end of last season.
Fewster joins the Irons after clinching his first start for Premier League side Nottingham Forest in early January, starring in Forest's thumping 4-1 defeat to Blackpool in the Emirates FA Cup.
The new Scunthorpe addition was also reportedly of interest from other Premier League clubs, with his contract at the City Ground expiring at the end of the season.
On the move, Fewster told the Scunthorpe media team: "I am delighted to be here.
"It's a big club with a huge fan base and I am excited to get going really.
"It's a challenge and I like a challenge, so I can't wait to get stuck into it and get to know the lads."
