KNARESBOROUGH Town will look for their first Northern Counties Eastern League premier division win in their last five matches on Saturday, as Simon Parkes’ side travel to Barton Town.
The Boro find themselves in a solid 10th position in the table after a poor run of form saw their hopes of a promotion push stagnated, but will be hoping to rectify that when facing 8th-placed Barton.
Barton had a promising start to the season when going unbeaten in their opening eight matches, but a lack of consistency followed that saw the Swans in a similar position to Knaresborough.
The Swans currently find themselves in an awkward position, after back-to-back victories they have struggled to retain the momentum and have failed to win in their previous two matches.
Knaresborough will be eager to do the double over Barton, after previously defeating them 2-1 back in October.
Selby Town are back on home soil on Saturday as they host a high-flying Harrogate Railway.
With the two teams just a 50-minute drive apart from one another, it’s a chance for the Robins to avoid a third consecutive defeat, after falling to losses to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and Glasshoughton Welfare previously.
Selby will also be looking to inflict revenge on Harrogate, after the Railway enjoyed a 2-0 win previously.
Pickering Town will be desperate to make up for their 5-2 defeat to Newton Aycliffe last time out, and to make acquaintances with Rudy Funk after the manager slated his side.
The Pikes will travel to Penrith with the hopes of furthering themselves from the relegation dogfight.
Penrith are one of two sides beneath Pickering in the table, so Funk will be keen to pick up a crucial three points.
Meanwhile, Tadcaster Albion are not in action this weekend, but will look for back-to-back victories for the first time this season on Wednesday, as they host Consett for a rearranged fixture.
