FORMER York City defender Graham Potter is currently the fourth-best paid manager in world football.

Potter, who played for York between the years 2000 to 2003 and made over 110 appearances, currently manages Premier League giants Chelsea.

The former York defender hasn’t had the easiest of starts to life in London and has managed just 12 wins in 30 games, seeing the Blues currently sitting in 10th position of the Premier League.

But according to reports from L’Equipe, Potter is currently the fourth-best paid manager in world football.

It was reported that Potter makes an estimated £993,117 per month and £229,180 a week, which would equal to just under £12 million pounds a year.

Potter is one of three Premier League bosses in the top four highest-earning managers, with Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp also on the list, whilst Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone is reportedly the highest-paid manager in world football.

Potter’s stats also see him earn more than his predecessor Thomas Tuchel, who recently took on a new role as manager of German giants Bayern Munich following Julian Nagelsmann’s sacking last week.
