THE York Supporters' Trust have confirmed that the prospected takeover deal to replace Glen Henderson has fallen through.
The Trust confirmed this morning that they had twice agreed legal contracts with parties, only for them to withdraw at the 11th hour for various reasons.
The Trust also confirmed that Henderson was unwiling to pay the wages for staff, and had also openly told club colleagues this issue yesterday.
Mike Brown and Alastair Smith made arrangement to expedite several payments due to the club and topped up their balance to meet the shortfall.
The Trust paid £50,000 to ensure that both the staff and players were paid in full for the month, meaning they have now made a total contribution of £145,000 in the last two months.
Finally, the Trust have called for an extension to the takeover deadline, which was originally April 4.
The Trust have called on Henderson to allow this, but Henderson has put forward alternative proposals, which the Trust have immediately denied and described as 'so preposterous that no inverstor or the Trust could ever accept the terms'.
The Press have gone to the club for a comment and will post any updates as soon as possible.
