CAPTAIN Chris Clarkson is one of two changes to Andrew Henderson’s preliminary 21-man squad for York Knights’ Good Friday Betfred Championship clash at home to Keighley Cougars (7:30pm).
The second-rower has been suffering with a flare-up of a long-standing Achilles injury that has kept him out of action for much of the season so far, but is now back in the squad alongside prop Jon Luke Kirby.
Jesse Dee, who pulled up in training last week, misses out, as does former York Acorn youngster Harry Price.
Alongside Dee, James Cunningham, Jamie Ellis, Pauli Pauli, Olly Butterworth and Levi Edwards all remain on the treatment table.

The Knights will be hoping to build on what Henderson labelled an ‘incredible’ 24-22 triumph against Championship promotion-hopefuls Sheffield Eagles in the Fourth Round of the Challenge Cup last Sunday, a victory made even more impressive by York having to play with 12 men for 50 minutes after Danny Kirmond’s controversial first-half dismissal.
Keighley themselves have made a better start than many predicted in their first season back in the second tier since 2015, and come into Friday's match on a good run of form after seeing off rivals Bradford Bulls and Betfred League One outfit North Wales Crusaders in the Challenge Cup.
Tickets for tomorrow’s clash are still available to purchase, priced at £20 for Adults and £15 for Concessions and free for Under 16s. NHS Staff and Blue Light Card holders can claim their tickets for free until 12pm tomorrow afternoon.
