The York Press is urging football fans to turn out in their droves to back York City, as their first season back in the Vanarama National League reaches its conclusion.

City are 17th in the National League with three huge matches remaining to secure their place in the fifth tier for another year, two of which will be played on the road.

And with both relegation-threatened Aldershot and Torquay United still to face, the Minstermen need your support to see them over the line.

It’s been a season of transition for York both on and off the pitch, but one vital aspect has remained unwavering – the outstanding support of the fans.

The LNER Community Stadium has been rocking, with the vocal support from the South Stand a highlight as we all “watch Super City putting on a show”.

And York’s supporters have often out sang the home support on their travels across the country, with in excess of 1,000 fans making the journey to both Wrexham and Chesterfield over the last month.

Let’s be the extra man to help City to the final win that they need to avoid the drop and finish the club’s 100th season on a high.

City have hit a combined crowd of over 100,000 spectators across the season for the first time in almost 30 years, and now we’re calling on you to help make that figure higher.

That’s seen the Minstermen have the second highest rise in attendances in the league since the 208-19 season, quadrupling their crowd.

Now, we’re calling on everyone who loves the Minstermen to pack out the stands in even greater numbers and make their voices heard even louder over the next two weeks.

York supporters, let us know in the comments your favourite memory of the club, whether if it's amusing, joyous or even a little bit sad!

Come on City!
