YORK Valkyrie Under 19s will compete in their inaugural match this evening against Huddersfield Giants.
The Valkyrie’s teens will take to the field this evening at York St John’s University Sports Park at 6:30pm.
Admission to this evening’s match is free, though donations are welcomed at the gate.
The Under 19s were formed in February after a series of successful trials over the autumn, and contain four first-team players in Liv Whitehead, Eva Izumi and fellow new signings Chloe Smith and Jess Sharp, who both made their debuts in the Valkyrie’s 44-4 victory at Barrow Raiders on Sunday.

The squad have been gaining valuable experience training weekly alongside the Valkyrie, who have made a perfect start to the season with three wins from as many matches thus far, and will be hoping that pays dividends against Huddersfield tonight.
