TADCASTER Albion's off-season recruitment has continued under Mick O'Connell, with the addition of midfielder Kieran Greenway.
Another player following O'Connell from Harrogate Railway, Greenway previously had spells with York City and Darlington at academy level, even training with the York first-team.
Greenway made the move to Harrogate four years ago, becoming a regular in the Railway team.
He's also no stranger to Tadcaster, after playing for the Brewers in the FA Youth Cup when studying at York College.
Speaking on his move to Tadcaster, Greenway said: “Knowing Mick and the other lads who have come to Tad was a massive factor.
"I know just how good the team Mick and Josh built was over the last two years and I think we will do well in the Northern Counties East League premier.
“I am best further up the pitch where I can create things and score goals.
"I do not think there is a huge difference between the NCEL premier and division one.
"We have played against several of the Prem teams in the FA Cup and Vase and those who have been promoted from division one.
“Of course, the standard every week will be higher, but given the quality of the players signed here, I think we should be aiming for the play offs.
"Personally, I would like to get in as much game time as possible to both assist and score and help out the team”.
Tadcaster have also announced their new shirt sponsorship heading into the new season, teaming up with Zzoomm.
The club contacted the company due to their high presence throughout the town, with Zzoomm being eager to get on board with the club.
Speaking on the news, Zzoom Chief Commercial Officer Chris Collinson said: “We are looking forward to Tadcaster Albion AFC having a great 2023/24 season.
"We’re delighted to be playing our part in the community and recognise the importance the club has to many here in the town.
“Connecting communities is about more than building a gigafast, innovative Full Fibre broadband network, it is about nurturing positive impact in local communities, supporting local business and residents every day.
"Our partnership with Tadcaster Albion AFC is one of many we have here in Yorkshire that aim to bring people together, supporting their local community and building a brighter future."
