Lioness fans in York have gathered to back their team in the World Cup Final.
A queue of fans docking England shirts waited outside Spark: York, in Piccadilly, for the gates to open at 10am to secure a seat for the action.
The Lionesses take on Spain in under an hour at 11am.
Fans in York spoke with The Press about their feelings before the game.
Kate White painted her face and put on an England shirt to cheer on the Lionesses.
“It’s meant to be,” she said. “Today is the day, it’s history in the making.
“Considering that the women’s team was banned for 50 years these guys are phenomenal.”
She was accompanied by her dog Pepper and friends Kat and Andy Richardson.
Kat predicted 3-2 to England.
Andy said he didn’t do predictions but felt the Lionesses could do it.
Holly Brown and Andrea Woodward were some of the first outside Spark: York.
“I’m feeling nervous and excited,” said Andrea.
“Spain are going to be formidable”
“We know how close it was in the Euros,” Holly added.
“I think we can do do it.”
Andrea urged the side to “stick to the game plan”.
Holly predicted 2-1 to England.
“It’s going to be close,” she said.
Andrea predicted 3-1 England.
