FORMER Malton & Norton youngster Zoe Aldcroft will captain England in their Guinness Women’s Six Nations clash with Scotland on Saturday.

The Scarborough-born star, who marked her 50th Red Roses appearance with a try in their 46-10 victory against Wales two weeks ago, will move from lock to blind-side flanker.

Head coach John Mitchell has made two changes to his side, with lock Abbie Ward coming back into the second row, and Amy Cokayne returning at hooker to start her first England game in a year in place of Lark Atkin-Davies.

Kirkbymoorside’s Tatyana Heard is again named amongst an unchanged back line, but there is no place for centre Emily Scarratt, who made her first appearance in over a year following neck surgery in their opening day triumph against Italy.

Explaining his squad selection, Mitchell said: "There's no such thing as rotation, this squad is selected for Scotland.

“Anyone is capable of replacing anyone, as far as I see it.”

Scotland earned their first victory in Wales for 20 years in their Six Nations opener before suffering a 15-5 defeat to France two weeks ago.

The Red Roses currently top the table, having overcome Italy and Wales in their opening two matches by a margin of 94-10.
