A FELLOW Vanarama National League club have transfer-listed two former York City players.

Solihull Moors suffered a nightmare week after falling to defeat twice in the space of seven days, both in the play-off final versus Bromley and against Gateshead in the Isuzu FA Trophy final.

Manager Andy Whing has now began to reshape his squad as he looks to revitalise his Solihull squad, which no longer requires the services of two former York representatives.

Both Gus Mafuta and Mark Beck have been deemed surplus to requirements for the Moors, with the duo both available for transfer.

Mafuta joined Solihull last Summer after his release from City, signing for the Moors under Neal Ardley who would later go on to take the reigns with the Minstermen.

The battling midfielder would go on to become somewhat of a regular under Whing in the Midlands, making 33 appearances in the National League and managing one goal.

The 28-year-old has become accustomed to National League football after spells with Gateshead, Hartlepool United, Salford City and Boreham Wood over a career spanning across 11 years.

Joining Mafuta on the transfer list will be Beck, who played a part in City’s promotion from the Vanarama National League North in the 2021/22 campaign.

Beck made 25 appearances with the Minstermen and bagged six goals in a spell from July until January, after signing on a loan deal from Harrogate Town.

The striker also had stints with Carlisle United, Falkirk, Yeovil Town, Wrexham and Darlington, before signing a two-and-a-half year contract with the Moors in January 2023.

Joining the duo on the transfer list will be striker Connor Hall, whilst Solihull have surprisingly released Joe Sbarra upon the expiry of his contract.
