YORK City's scouting team have parted ways as Adam Hinshelwood continues to build towards the 2024/25 season.

Chief scout David Bujara has left York after a season in the role, along with first-team scout Aaron Coulter.

Bujara and Coulter both confirmed the news on social media, joining Head of Recruitment David Stockdale in departing the club.

Stockdale exited City and his dual role of player and Head of Recruitment last month, after struggling with injuries throughout the campaign and failing to fit into manager Hinshelwood's plans for the future.

York are expected to bring in a new Chief Scout and scouting team under Hinshelwood in the coming weeks, as City begin to plan ahead to their third consecutive campaign in the Vanarama National League.

Bujara began his scouting career at Ryton & Crawcrook Albion FC, who currently play their football in the Northern League division two, before moving on to Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers as an academy and non-league scout.

Following his time at Wolves, Bujara went on to work in Scotland with St Mirren, before becoming an opposition scout for Sky Bet League Two side Crawley Town.

Bujara became part of the Brentford staff as a first team scout and 'B' team recruitment scout, before going on to have spells with AFC Fylde, Morpeth Town and FC Halifax Town, whilst also working within Newcastle University for the eight years and having a role in the women's game at Middlesbrough Women.

Coulter previously worked within the scouting department at Sky Bet League One side Stockport County, and joined York last November.

The City scout would last in the role for seven months.

Bujara said on social media: "Some unfortunate news to share. I have left my role with York City.

"It's been an absolute pleasure to work for such a huge club.

"All the best to everyone associated with York City and to all the fans.

"Personally its now a time to reflect and push on from here."

Coulter also said on social media: "Unfortunately my scouting role with York City has come to an end.

"It's been a pleasure working with so many great people during the past season."
