RISING teenage talent Bart Harrison added another two podiums to his tally as he returned to Formula 4 action at Silverstone last weekend.
The Nunnington star - who is thriving in his first single-seater season after making the step up from karting this year - was back out on track after missing the competition’s previous round at Thruxton following a crash at Snetterton.
This time out, he was joined for the first time by his Chris Dittmann Racing teammate, 25-year-old German driver Carrie Schreiner, who also competes for Sauber/Campos Racing in the F1 Academy series.
She will also line up alongside Bart for the Tewkesbury-based side as the championship heads to Zandvoort, home of the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix, in the next round on the weekend of July 13-14.
Mixed weather conditions involved some fine tyre switch decisions in qualifying, which paid off for Bart, who started ninth out of the 23 racers - with a time two and a half seconds behind the top qualifier.
But after a disappointing first race in which he finished 17th, he battled back.
From his tough starting position, the teenager took second place in the rookie competition in each of the final two races and add to his points tally in his first F4 season.
Bart finished sixth overall in race two, and ninth in race three.
He currently sits fifth in the Rookie Cup standings on 103 points and 17th in the overall championship leaderboard.
