TADCASTER Albion are set to host their second charity match between Yorkshire Spurs and Spurs Legends on Sunday, July 7 (2pm).
The two sides will take part in a charity afternoon to raise valuable funds for two important causes, Prostate Cancer UK and Menfulness, which is a York-based men’s mental health charity.
Legends to have previously represented Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur will take part in the match at the Young Guns Arena, with gates opening at 12pm.
Last year’s charity match saw the support of Spurs legends Jermaine Defoe and Michael Dawson, with the latter recently taking part in the ‘Cycle on you Spurs’ squad for a leg of their annual London to Amsterdam fundraising ride for Prostate UK.
Club Ambassador Michael Dawson will be hitting the road on two wheels with a group of Spurs supporters tomorrow in support of @ProstateUK 🤍

Our former captain is joining the ‘Cycle On You Spurs’ squad for a leg of their annual London to Amsterdam fundraising ride 🙌
All proceeds will be split between the two charities, with retro programmes also on offer around the ground.
Last year’s event raised an incredible £11,500, with goals, a half-time penalty shootout and plenty of action promised on the day.
Tadcaster Chairman Andy Charlesworth expressed his delight at hosting the event, telling the Press: “Tadcaster Albion is really proud to support the Yorkshire Spurs versus Spurs Legends game for the second year.
“Two wonderful causes, Prostrate Cancer UK and Menfulness.
“We are looking forward to seeing some great Spurs Legends from the past take the field at the Young Guns Arena and hope for a big crowd with plenty of people showing support for these two great charities.
“If the day gets anywhere near as good as last year, everyone will go away with big smiles on their faces!
“Gates open at 12 noon and there will be a full bar and canteen service throughout the afternoon.
“Tadcaster Albion will be kicking off their season on Saturday, July 27, at home to Bottesford in the NCEL Premiership - keep an eye on the club website and social media as some games may be played on a Friday evening.
“Hopefully this year we will be pushing for promotion so keep an eye on Tadcaster Albion as your second team at least!
“We wish everyone a great day and enjoy yourselves at Tadcaster Albion.”
