YORK City Ladies have confirmed their retained list upon the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Chris Holloway’s side ended their campaign in 10th position, one place above the relegation zone, having avoided the drop by just three points in the FA Women's National League division one north.
The Minsterbelles did celebrate lifting the Interior Design Women’s County Cup after a phenomenal 10-0 rout over Thornaby Women’s, at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium.
Alongside their retained list, York have also confirmed that club captain Nikki Brown has made the decision to retire from football after over a decade of service to the Minsterbelles, with her final touch coming in that County Cup triumph.
Brown has been a City player for just shy of 11 years and has proved a superb role model for the football club.
Holloway has now confirmed his retained squad with his eyes now set on the upcoming 2024/25 campaign, with includes numerous key players for the Minsterbelles.
York have kept a hold of the likes of Sophie Tinson, Jess Holder, Felicity Jones and Ocean Rolandsen after becoming regulars last campaign.
Rebecca Sidwell, the Minsterbelles’ number one, will also remain with the club after helping the England Colleges to a trophy during an eight-team tournament in Italy, last March.
RETAINED: Ocean Rolandsen, Emily Cattle, Elisha Hardcastle, Sophie Tinson, Hannah Brierley, Jess Holder, Felicity Jones, Milly Ash, Karli Smith, Faye Singleton, Rebecca Sidwell, Lenni Hodgson, Nina Howell, Imani Todman, Lucy Lendhill, Ruby Gore, Ruby Gibbs, Grace Hemmings, Grace Sykes
