YORK heavyweight Arlo Stephens was rewarded with the ‘Knockout of the Night’ after a jaw-dropping finish to his second professional fight in Coventry.
When battling Polish boxer Viktar Chvarkou over four rounds, a sensational first round knockout saw Stephens clinch a memorable victory at the Skydome.
The pair fought under promoters GBM live on DAZN in the undercard to Danny Quartermaine and Karim Guerfi, with GBM offering a reward to the fighter with the most devastating knockout.
28-year-old Stephens has previous sparred with the likes of Anthony Joshua and Moses Itauma previously launched his professional career with a points victory over Amine Boucetta in April.
Stephens also boasts previously winning the Yorkshire super-heavyweight title in 2022.
In his second professional bout, Stephens produced an incredible first round knockout on Chvarkou, sweeping a right over the Pole’s guard and onto his chin.
The punch took Chvarkou off his feet and left him flat on his back.
The referee reached the count of three and then waved the fight off so that the ringside doctors could tend to Chvarkou.
After Chavrkou spent a couple of minutes being examined before being allowed to leave the ring, Stephens said afterwards that he had been working on the punch in the gym with his coach, Billy Wilson, who works for York Boxing Club.
