YORK City have confirmed that Saturday’s season-opener against Southend United will receive enhanced production from DAZN, shown live on National League TV.

The Vanarama National League agreed a new partnership with sports platform DAZN, who have since confirmed that three matches from the fifth tier will benefit from enhanced production this month.

A seven-year deal was agreed last month, meaning that coverage of the National League will no longer be shown on TNT Sports, with fixtures from the fifth tier now being showcased across over 200 countries.

Fans will continue to sign up to National League TV in order to watch these enhanced games, as well as the remainder of the National League matches.

DAZN have confirmed that York’s opening fixture at Southend United on Saturday, August 10 (3pm) will received the enhanced production, shown on National League TV.

Once the National League TV is available to be migrated onto the DAZN ecosystem as an add-on channel, the National League matches will be able to accessed on devices such as desktop, smart TV’s, IOS, android, SKY Q, Apple TV, Amazon Firestick and even on game consoles, such as Playstation and XBOX.

The first three picks have been selected, beginning with City’s trip to Southend on Saturday.

Woking will then host Hartlepool United and former manager Darren Sarll on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26 (3pm).

The final pick has been confirmed as Sutton United versus Forest Green Rovers, who both suffered relegation from Sky Bet League Two last campaign, taking place on Saturday, August 31 at the revised time of 5.30pm.
