THIERRY Latty-Fairweather has joined fellow Vanarama National League side Maidenhead United on an initial one-month loan from York City.

The 21-year-old defender first joined the Minstermen following his release from Burton Albion last summer but was told during pre-season that he was not a part of manager Adam Hinshelwood’s plans.

Latty-Fairweather, who has also turned out for both Guiseley and Hereford, made 24 appearances across all competitions for City last season and scored a goal of the season contender in their 3-0 victory against Southend United.

But with the arrivals of Worthing talent Joe Felix and former Rochdale defender Cameron John, and Leon Gibson-Booth’s step up from the youth team, he has continued to fall down the pecking order at left-back and was not handed a squad number for the 2024/25 season.

Fellow left-sided defender Levi Andoh has joined Darlington as he steps up his recovery from a long-term back injury, whilst Adam Crookes has been ruled out for four to six weeks with a quad tear.

Whilst the Minstermen sit seventh ahead of tonight’s clash with Rochdale (7:45pm) at the LNER Community Stadium, Maidenhead are 20th, having started the season with back-to-back losses.

A 2-0 opening day defeat at home to Eastleigh was followed by a 2-1 loss at Solihull Moors last Saturday, but they will be hoping to put that right against Altrincham at York Road this evening (7:45pm).
