YORK City are on the verge of a new loan signing, as reported by Wales Online.
Wales Online are reporting that Cardiff City centre-halve Malachi Fagan-Walcott looks set to become Adam Hinshelwood's next signing for York.
A product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy, Fagan-Walcott has UEFA Champions League experience after appearing in a 3-0 round of 16 loss to Red Bull Leipzig in March 2020.
Fagan-Walcott would go out on loan to the Scottish Premiership with Dundee FC with a view of gaining first-team experience, but injury would cut his time across the border short.
After three years with Spurs, the 22-year-old opted to join Cardiff to link up with their under-21's squad after his release from Tottenham.
Another loan spell into Scotland would follow with Dunfermline Athletic, where Fagan-Walcott impressed, scoring three goals and appearing 15 times in the Scottish Championship.
A return to the Bluebirds saw the centre-back sign a contract extension with Cardiff, as well as debut in the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship opener against Burnley, which ended in a 5-0 victory for the latter.
Fagan-Walcott was also previously part of England's under-17's squad for the 2019 UEFA European under-17's Championship, and also played alongside the likes of Jude Bellingham in a Three Lions shirt.
As part of a dual deal to the Vanarama National League, Wales Online are also reporting that Fagan-Walcott's Cardiff teammate Raheem Conte is set to join Woking.
Bluebirds boss Erol Bulut told Wales Online: "We want them to go to a club where they can play continuously.
"It’s important for them, we want them to play so we try to find them the right choice, the right club for them.”
Fagan-Walcott would become Hinshelwood's tenth signing of the season and compete for a place alongside Ryan Fallowfield, Callum Howe, Darragh O'Connor and Adam Crookes, who is currently unavailable through a calf injury.
