In the Ultra Fabrication YWP Super League, the Z’s of Clockhouse bounced back this week following defeat at #upthebish the previous week.

The Z’s took a strong team to play Huntington WMC C, racing in to a 6-0 lead with Martin Witcombe (2), Mick Smith, John Patrick, Kieran Watson and Tony Shep all winning frames.

Huntington WMC C got back back into the game with Adam Myerscough, the current IPA 2024 European Amateur Champion, winning three frames 6-3, Bri Baxter won the 10th frame to make the score 4-6.

Z’s Captain Tony Shep ensured the win went to the Z’s, winning the 11th frame against Huntington’s Tommy Lewis 7-4. John Patrick won the 12th to complete the match a great 4-8 win for the Zs

The Dick Turpin A returned to their home venue following the refurbishment of the pub, Hospital A the visitor.

The match was a close contest with the Turpin winning 7-5, at 5-5 Pooky Wilson stepped up to make it 6-5 and Dean Whitehead ensured a 7-5 win.

A strong start from Huntington A captain Joe Snowden helped Huntington get back on track with a 9-3 win against the Lighthorsman. Kristian Strangeway and Gaz Hirst also won two frames each.

The pick of the matches in Division 2 was Bishopthorpe B v Grey Horse Elvington.

The match looked to be heading for another win for Bish after going into a 4-0 lead. However, the Grey Horse are quickly making a name as the comeback kings of division 2, 6-1 down last week to 6-6 and last night 4-0 down to 5-4 up.

The game ended in a fair 6-6 draw

The York University Students playing for Edinburgh Arms A took a 7-5 win against Rackemup of Clifton to keep pace at the top of the table.

In Divison 3, The Hoggs Head continued their good form with a 9-3 win against the Crescent B Shaun Major and Paul Minskip winning 5 of the 9 frames won for the Hoggs Head.

Huntington Sports Club and The Rec Copmanthorpe shared the points with a 6-6 draw with both teams playing well.
